The Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce recruiting for the Young Entrepreneur’s Academy (YEA!) Program for the 2018-2019 year has officially begun. This year marks the 4th Annual YEA! Program for the Chamber, and will include many exciting new features.
Each class meeting focuses on one business topic or strategy, affording students a step-by-step pace that is supplemented with field trips to various local businesses where students get the opportunity to hear from business leaders, and guest speakers, who are experts in their fields.
Business mentors assist with business development plans by catering their attention to each student’s goals and ambitions with their business. The guided and hands-on learning system provides students purposeful learning and goal setting — all while encouraging them to use their creativity and imagination. This format of learning by doing helps channel their skills into functional businesses. Students learn the tools of entrepreneurship, learning in the classroom and experiencing within the local Central Palm Beach County community.
The program runs from October to April, and ends in an Investor Panel where students pitch their final business plan to a panel of judges for real seed money. No matter where a student is in their entrepreneurial pursuits, each participant gains a realistic and practical impression of the business world.
We look forward to seeing the budding businessmen and women in our community, and are excited to see this year’s competitive group of applicants.
